COVID-19 vaccination (full vaccination plus booster) is required for participation in club activities. There are some activities that will probably appeal to you and your boat. In addition, from April through October we usually have a several-day car camping paddle trip each month. Weather permitting, we have several local one-day paddles each month. Our monthly programs entertain, educate and give members and guests the opportunity to socialize and share knowledge of places, equipment and paddle skills to enhance their water adventures. Meeting time is 6 or 6:30 p.m., depending on whether there is a potluck that night or not. We meet at another location for the May picnic, on the water training in August, Lake Natoma potluck lunch paddle in November and a holiday party in December. This group of flat water kayakers and a few canoe enthusiasts meets on the fourth Thursday of most months at Seamans Lodge in Pioneer Park (427 Nimrod Street) in Nevada City. Our other Activity Groups may just get together for a hike, go for a group kayak, small group dinners at a member’s home or just getting together in a book club. Groups who meet once a month talk about their hobbies, interests or pastimes which can be anything from photography to woodworking. We are mainly a social activity group with about 400 members who participate in our 20-plus Activity Groups that normally meet on a regular basis. We have quite a history going back to 1989.
